The Nov. 14 event will benefit The Greater Boston Food Bank to help those struggling with food insecurity across Massachusetts.
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Shawn Colvin will headline the 18th annual RiverFeast benefit concert next week in Salisbury, where proceeds will help to feed people throughout Massachusetts struggling with food insecurity.
The concert, organized by Boston’s independent radio station 92.5 The River, is scheduled for Nov. 14 at Blue Ocean Music Hall. Organizers said all net proceeds will benefit The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB).
Food insecurity remains a significant challenge across the state. According to the food bank’s 2026 Massachusetts Food Access Report, a record 40 percent of Massachusetts households — roughly 1.1 million — experienced food insecurity in 2025, more than double the rate reported in 2019. The organization also found that one in four households experienced “very low food security.”
The GBFB, the largest hunger-relief organization in New England, works with more than 600 community-based food pantries, meal programs and other partners across 190 cities and towns in Eastern Massachusetts. It provides food access to about 600,000 people per month and distributed 107 million pounds of food last year.
What to know if you go
Colvin, a three-time Grammy Award winner, first gained national recognition with her 1989 debut album, “Steady On,” which won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album.
She later won Grammy Awards for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year in 1998 for “Sunny Came Home,” a Top 10 hit from her platinum-selling album “A Few Small Repairs.” Colvin has released 13 albums over a career spanning more than three decades and received the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Trailblazer Award in 2016.
Liam St. John, a singer-songwriter known for his blues, rock, and Americana influences, will open the show. St. John first attracted national attention as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice.
Organizers said the evening will include a cocktail reception featuring harvest-themed appetizers and a silent auction.
“We are thrilled to have Shawn Colvin join us for one of our most important events of the year,” said Liv Lowe, music director for 92.5 The River. “RiverFeast is not only a fantastic evening of music, but also an opportunity to directly support families across the region who struggle with food insecurity.”
General admission tickets are $100, while VIP tickets are $135. Tickets and details are available at theriverboston.com/riverfeast.
