Calvin Johnson chats with Shelia Ford Hamp before Lions game

Detroit Lions legend Calvin Johnson chats with owner Shelia Ford Hamp on the sidelines before the Thanksgiving Day game vs. Green Bay Packers at Ford Field on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025.

It’s official: Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is a top-5 player in the NFL – if you consider early Pro Bowl fan votes as a determining factor.

Gibbs, a two-time Pro Bowler, is one of 11 Lions listed in the top 10 among their respective positions in early Pro Bowl voting as of Monday, Dec. 1, with nearly 25,000 votes so far. The former first-round pick is having a career year in 2025, having already eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns in just 12 games and leading the league with 5.8 yards per rush attempt.

But even though Gibbs was the top vote-getter on the Lions, other Detroit players finished ahead of him in their respective positional rankings, as Gibbs still trails Indianapolis star Jonathan Taylor among running backs.

Linebacker Jack Campbell and offensive tackle Penei Sewell are both the top vote-getters at their respective positions. Campbell is third in the NFL in total tackles (117) and is vying for his first Pro Bowl appearance, while Sewell is looking to be named to his fourth Pro Bowl.

Here is the full list of Lions players currently in the top-10 in Pro Bowl voting at their positions.

    • LB Jack Campbell (No. 1).
    • OT Penei Sewell (No. 1).
    • SS Brian Branch (No. 2).
    • RB Jahmyr Gibbs (No. 2).
    • P Jack Fox (No. 2).
    • EDGE Aidan Hutchinson (No. 3).
    • FS Kerby Joseph (No. 3).
    • WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (No. 4).
    • C Graham Glasgow (No. 7).
    • TE Sam LaPorta (No. 9).
    • LS Hogan Hatten (No. 10).

Fan voting for the Pro Bowl began on Nov. 27 and concludes on Dec. 15.

Fans can submit a Pro Bowl vote here, with no limit on how many times fans can vote before the deadline.
