CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College running back Evan Dickens was named to the 2026 Doak Walker Award Watch List, the organization announced Tuesday.
Dickens joined the Eagles in January after spending two seasons at Georgia Tech and one at Liberty, where he established himself as one of the nation’s top running backs. In 2025, the Marietta, Ga. native rushed for 1,339 yards and 16 touchdowns, finishing fifth nationally in rushing yards, fourth in rushing touchdowns and third in rushing yards per game (121.7).
He also ranked seventh in the country with 127.7 all-purpose yards per game and 10th nationally in scoring at 9.3 points per contest, capping one of the most productive seasons by a running back in the nation.
In two seasons at Georgia Tech, Dickens saw action in 14 games, primarily on special teams, totaling 47 yards on 11 carries.
The Doak Walker Award is given annually to the nation’s most outstanding running back. The award is named after SMU’s three-time All-America running back Doak Walker. The recipient of the 2026 Doak Walker Award will be announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards on December 10, 2026.
