    UConn Beats Boston College in Hall of Fame Exhibition

    Uncasville, Conn. – Led by returners Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong, the UConn women’s basketball team took down Boston College, 84-67, in the Hall of Fame Exhibition Monday afternoon in Mohegan Sun Arena.

    Fudd led the Huskies with 20 points on 7-9 shooting, including a scorching 5-for-5 performance from three-point range in the third quarter. Fudd added four assists, three rebounds and two steals in the game.

    Strong notched 17 points on 8-11 shooting and notched five rebounds and five assists.

    In her UConn debut, senior Serah Williams looked solid, scoring 15 points and adding five rebounds.

    UConn scored 29 points off turnovers as the Eagles had as many turnovers (21) as made field goals.

    UConn will have one more exhibition vs. Southern Connecticut on Oct. 26 at PeoplesBank Arena before opening the season vs. Louisville on Nov. 4 in the Armed Forces Classic on Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
