CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women’s soccer hits the road for the first time this season on Sunday, Aug. 23, as the Eagles take on Cornell in non-conference action. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT

• Boston College improved to 2-0-0 on the season with a 2-1 victory over St. John’s on Monday at the Newton Soccer Complex

• The Eagles have received contributions from four players who have scored their first career goals through the opening two games of the season

• Nicolette Kiorpes, Tess Barrett, Anndi Wright and Addison Kalaw each recorded their first career goal in the Eagles’ season-opening victory over Siena

• Kalaw followed up her first career goal with another tally against St. John’s, giving her two goals through the first two games of the season

Sophie Reale also has two goals through the opening two games, scoring against both Siena and St. John’s

• Boston College outshot the Red Storm, 12-6, and held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks

• Goalkeeper Faith Fenwick made two saves to earn her second win of the season

THE RETURNERS

• Boston College returns 13 players who appeared in 14 or more games during the 2025 campaign, including six who played in all 18 matches

• Last season’s leading goalscorer, Sophie Reale, returns for her second season with the Eagles

• Starting goalkeeper Olivia Shippee returns after recording an .846 save percentage and a 0.80 goals-against average last season

FRESH FACES

• The Eagles have 10 additions to this season’s roster

• BC brought in five transfers and five freshmen

CAPTAINS

• Boston College will be led by three captains in 2026: Olivia Shippee, Amalia Dray and Baylor Goldthwaite

• Dray and Goldthwaite return as captains after serving in the same role during the 2025 season

• Shippee was named a captain for the first time this season

A LOOK AT CORNELL

• Cornell opened the 2026 season with a 3-2 victory over St. Bonaventure on Thursday at Berman Field

• The Big Red scored twice in the first half and added another goal in the 51st minute to take a 3-0 lead

• Ivy Tolbert, Emily Gibbons and Alanna Colbert each found the back of the net for Cornell

• Gibbons and Colbert each recorded a goal and an assist in the victory

• Cornell outshot St. Bonaventure, 21-8, and held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks

• The Big Red returns 17 players who appeared in at least one match last season, including its top two scorers and four of its top five

• Cornell returns 67.4 percent of its scoring production from the 2025 season, including 11 of its 16 goals

• Forwards Sydney Allen, Brooke Brown and Alanna Colbert, who each scored multiple goals last season, return for their senior seasons

• Sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Qureshey is the leading returning goalkeeper after starting Cornell’s first nine matches last season and recording a 1.22 goals-against average and a .750 save percentage

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THE BIG RED

• Boston College holds a 3-2-3 all-time record against Cornell

• The two sides played to a 0-0 draw in their most recent meeting on Aug. 22, 2025, at the Newton Soccer Complex

• The Eagles’ last victory over Cornell came in 2024, when BC earned a 3-2 victory in Ithaca, N.Y.

• Boston College and Cornell first met in 1988, with the Big Red earning a 1-0 victory in Newton
