March, who lives with Gould Syndrome, epilepsy and cortical visual impairment, officially signed with the team inside the Murray Room of the Yawkey Athletics Center. Logan will participate in many activities with the Boston College Football program, including games, practices and other team events, over the next two years.
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multi-year program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.
Boston College has worked with Team IMPACT for the past 15 years, matching 36 children across 18 different teams.
“We’re incredibly excited about Logan joining the Boston College Football family,” said Gregory P. Barber ’69 and Family Head Coach Bill O’Brien. “Our program is built on the belief that every young person is given the opportunity to grow. Logan makes our team better not only on the field, but as people off the field as well.”
