Pierrot played two seasons at Melrose High School. He also played at Northeastern (2014, 2015), and currently plays for Çaykur Rizespor, a Turkish club.
The 31-year-old led Haiti in scoring last fall during the Gold Cup.
Pierrot will return to Massachusetts in Haiti’s first game of World Cup action on June 13 when his club takes on Scotland in a Group C match at 9 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.
This marks the second time Haiti has qualified for the World Cup and their first appearance since 1974.
