The Globe’s high school sports photojournalism program is the only one of its kind in the country (that we know of). It started in January 2024, a unique pairing of student work with the statewide coverage done by the Globe’s schools team.

In the nine sports seasons since then, hundreds of high school photographers from across the state have submitted thousands of pictures, many of which have been published amid the Globe’s game stories, roundups, features, notebooks, previews, Top 20s, and players of the week.

There’s also been the photo galleries, which have highlighted the best student pictures of the week. The photo gallery below is the program’s 100th. Like all that came before, it’s a remarkable collection of shots.

The best parts of this program — aside from the outstanding quality of the work — are that it is open to any high school student in the state, costs nothing to join, and accepts new photogs all year long. The first step: Simply sign up here.

Questions? Please send them along to John Vitti of the Globe sports department at john.vitti@globe.com.

In the meantime, enjoy the photo gallery below … and happy 100th!
