Atlanta, Ga. – The Boston College softball team (11-26, 2-10 ACC) dropped the final game of the series against Georgia Tech (23-20, 8-10 ACC) on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles started strong in the first inning putting the first run on the board with an RBI from Abby Ptak to score Sammy Horn.
Holly Paharik kept it going in the second inning with an RBI double to left field to take an early 2-0 lead over the Yellow Jackets. GT used the bottom of that inning to score four runs off five hits before adding three more the next inning for a 7-2 lead.
BC came back in the fifth with a two run homer from Emma Knight for her 10th of the season to cut the Yellow Jackets lead.
Tech would add four more runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 11-4 lead that held for the final score.
