FEEDING HILLS, Mass. (WWLP) – If you were awake at the wee hours of the morning on Thursday, you may have spotted a bright object streaking across the sky in Massachusetts, but what was it?

At around 5:38 a.m., a 22News viewer in Feeding Hills saw something mysterious flying in the sky and started filming it. They submitted it to 22News, stating, “I’ve never seen anything like that before.”

The object seen was most likely a rocket launched by SpaceX for another one of its Starlink satellites, according to Space.com. The satellites launched with a Falcon 9 rocket, which lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 5:30 a.m.

The rocket carried 28 satellites to add to Starlink’s fleet of nearly 8,400 orbiting the Earth. Thursday’s launch was also the 117th Falcon 9 flight of the year, Space.com said.
