CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Defensive end Edwin Kolenge was named one of three recipients of the 79th annual Swede Nelson Award, the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston announced Monday afternoon. Denver Summit FC is more than halfway to history. The club announced Monday that it has already sold 25,000 tickets for its inaugural home match on March 28 at Empower Field. That puts Summit FC about 16,000 tickets away from breaking the attendance record for the National Women’s Soccer League — and women’s professional sports overall — set in an NWSL match earlier this season between Bay FC and the Washington Spirit at Oracle Park in San Francisco.
