CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — No. 23 Boston College Baseball welcomes No. 3 Georgia Tech to Harrington Athletics Village this weekend to close out the regular season. The three-game series begins Thursday at 6:00 p.m. on ACCNX. Friday’s game begins at 3:00 p.m. on ACCNX, followed by the regular season finale on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. live on ACC Network. This marks the first time since No. 1 NC State in 2019 that a top-three-ranked opponent has made the trip to Eddie Pellagrini Diamond.

    Scouting the Yellow Jackets

Georgia Tech sits 42-9 overall on the season with a 22-5 ACC record. The Yellow Jackets enter the weekend ranked No. 3 in the latest D1Baseball.com national poll and have a 10-5 road record this year.

GT saw its five-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday night after falling at home to Mercer by a score of 12-9. The Yellow Jackets have won their last seven ACC contests, picking up a win at North Carolina followed by sweeps of Wake Forest and Duke.

Jarren Advincula leads the team and the ACC in batting average (.435) and hits (93). He leads the country in hits while sitting second in batting average. Ryan Zuckerman is second in the league in home runs with 20. Carson Kerce is second in the nation in doubles with 27, good for the most in the ACC.

    Record vs Georgia Tech

Boston College is 18-21 all-time against Georgia Tech with an 11-11 home record. The Eagles are currently on a five-game winning streak over the Yellow Jackets, dating back to the 2023 season.

They last met in Brighton during the 2023 campaign, when the Eagles won the series 2-1. Georgia Tech claimed game one of the weekend before BC stormed back with 3-1 and 24-12 wins.

The last series saw the Eagles sweep the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta during the 2024 season.

    Last Time Out

The Eagles split a non-conference doubleheader against NJIT this past Sunday. The Highlanders took game one 8-7, before the Eagles bounced back with a 6-3 victory.

During game one, Kyle Wolff launched his seventh home run of the season. In game two, A.J. Colarusso had four strikeouts over three innings, moving into ninth all-time in program history for career strikeouts with 194. Sean Hard also threw four strikeouts while not allowing a run over two innings of work.

    Running Wild

In the 2025 regular season, BC stole 130 bases, which was the 2nd-most stolen bases in the ACC and top-20 nationally. The Eagles have already broken that record with 137 steals this year. Julio Solier leads the group with 27 steals this season, which is tied for the third most in a single season. He is four away from tying the single-season program record. Colin Larson is second with 21 steals, which is the eighth most in a single season. The Eagles have four others with double-digit steals, with Ty Mainolfi stealing 19 and Jack Toomey swiping 18. Carter Hendrickson (12) and Nick Wang (11) round out the group with double-digit steals. The four Eagles with 18+ steals make the Eagles one of three teams to have four players with 18 plus. In total, BC has six players with 10+ steals, all in the top 25 of the conference.

Eight others have stolen at least one base this year. Luke Gallo leads that group with eight, while Ben Williams is second with seven. Danny Surowiec and Gunnar Johnson have taken four and three, while Jace Roossien, Owen DeShazo, and Esteban Garcia have all stolen one. Cesar Gonzalez rounds out the group after stealing one against UConn on April 15.

    Entering the Final Weekend

Boston College sits in fourth place in the ACC standings with a 17-10 league record entering the final weekend of the regular season. They are tied with Florida State in third place, but the Seminoles currently hold the tiebreaker. Miami is right behind BC and Florida State in fifth place with a 15-12 ACC record. The Hurricanes and Seminoles play each other in a three-game series this weekend at Florida State.

Wake Forest, winners of its last eight games, is sixth in the standings with a 14-13 record and plays three games at Duke this weekend.

    Up Next

The ACC Tournament awaits the Eagles next week at Truist Park in Charlotte, North Carolina, beginning with the first round on Tuesday, May 19. Should the Eagles earn a double bye by finishing in the top four, they will automatically advance to the quarterfinals and play either Thursday or Friday.
