Now this is what March is all about, athletes in all sports competing to be the best. Some might call it madness, but for high school sports fans across Massachusetts, it sure is a lot of fun.

With so much action happening each night, the readers are the big winners because the students involved in the Globe’s unique photojournalism program are on the scene, too.

Many of their pictures have already been featured in the Globe’s daily high school roundups, but they have submitted dozens more over the last week. Here below in this week’s photo gallery are more than 50 photos from games across the state, all taken by 17 student photographers.

The Globe’s sports photojournalism program is open to any Massachusetts high school student. It’s free to join and runs throughout the school year. To get started, just fill out the interest form here.
