Andre Gasseau suffered an injury that kept him out of the Boston College lineup from early November until January 16. Since returning, the Boston Bruins prospect has contributed immediately offensively. In the Eagles’ 5-1 win over Harvard on Monday, Gasseau registered two assists. Upon his return to action, Gasseau has scored two goals and four assists.

The senior forward notched his 100th career point at BC on Monday as well. The 2021 seventh-round draft pick accomplished the feat in 123 NCAA games. This season, Gasseau has contributed four goals and nine assists and is eligible to sign an entry-level contract with the Bruins at the end of the collegiate season.

Gasseau has been a pleasant surprise since being drafted. The California native has been a very consistent player for the Eagles. In his freshman season, Gasseau tallied 29 points. The 6-foot-4 forward registered 29 again the next season. Last season, Gasseau totaled 30 points, along with 49 penalty minutes. Gasseau is now a captain on a team that is targeted for another NCAA tournament berth.

Alongside fellow Bruins prospects James Hagens, Dean Letourneau, Oskar Jellvik, Will Moore, and Kristian Kostadinski, Gasseau has a plethora of talent surrounding him, but it has been Gasseau who has returned to solidify the roster and led to a resurgence for a club that struggled some without him. Gasseau and Jellvik both missed significant time with injury, but Gasseau is back to help the Eagles try to win their first Beanpot title since 2016. Jellvik has played just three games for Boston College this season.

The Eagles are seeking to avenge their 2025 Beanpot final loss to Boston University this Monday at TD Garden. Hagens and Letourneau combined for three goals in the semifinal win, but it is the captain Gasseau who leads the team from here on out.
