BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) – The Mini Fenway fundraiser has launched, intending to raise $400,000 to support major upgrades to the community baseball field in Belchertown.

The planned improvements include replacing the iconic Green Monster wall, constructing a new storage shed and concession stand, adding a covered batting cage, and installing a fully ADA-compliant bathroom facility. These upgrades aim to enhance the accessibility and functionality of Mini Fenway, a space where children of all abilities come together to play and grow.

Community members are encouraged to contribute to the fundraiser at givebutter.com/MiniFenwayBLL. Donations of any size are welcome, and contributors can become Mini-Fenway Sponsors, receiving recognition ranging from social media shout-outs to naming rights for a major feature of the field.

An event was held on Saturday, November 1, at Mini-Fenway Field, also known as Hulmes-Warner Field on 59 State Street. During the event, Senator Jake Oliveira and State Representative Aaron Saunders presented a grant to support the renovations for $25,000.

The event also marked the official launch of the crowdfunding campaign to reach the $400,000 goal. In addition to the fundraising efforts, a canned food drive was held during the event to support the local community.

The Mini Fenway fundraiser highlights the community’s commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive space for young athletes. With the support of local leaders and residents, Mini Fenway is poised to continue being a cherished venue for future generations.
