Gronk excited for Josh McDaniels to return to New England

Former Patriot Rob Gronkowski reminisces on his time with Josh McDaniels and thinks he’s perfect for the OC job in New England.

    Sports Seriously

    • Rob Gronkowski will host a charity pickleball event called “Pickleball for a Purpose” in Natick on May 28.
    • Participants can register individually or as a team, fundraise, and potentially play against Gronkowski.
    • Spectator tickets are available for $187 and include event access and a drink ticket.

Rob Gronkowski will return to Massachusetts this May, but instead of the football field, he’ll be headed to the pickleball court.

In partnership with the Jimmy Fund and the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation, the former Patriots tight end is hosting “Pickleball for a Purpose.” Held at the new Bosse pickleball complex in Natick, the charity match will support both adult and pediatric cancer care and research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Want to know how to fundraise, watch the event or even play pickleball against Gronk himself? Here are all the details on how to attend Pickleball for a Purpose.

How to play at the Gronk pickleball match

Those interested in playing pickleball can register as an individual or a team of two online. After registering, teams can begin fundraising for the Jimmy Fund and Gronk Nation Youth Foundation, with the top four fundraising teams and one wildcard team earning the chance to play pickleball with Gronk and friends.

Exclusive fundraising prizes, including signed Gronk merch and VIP experiences, will be unlocked to those registered throughout the fundraising process.

Tickets to the Gronk pickleball match

Don’t want to play pickleball, but still want to support the event and see Gronk in action? Bosse is also offering a limited number of spectator tickets. To receive one, interested parties must make a $187 donation at charity.pledgeit.org/pickleball and then email ChloeC_Rogan@dfci.harvard.edu.

Each ticket includes access to the event and one drink ticket, and food will also be available for purchase.
