    Shane Knowlton ran for 328 yards and six touchdowns as Lynn English defeated Everett, 50-35, in nonleague football play.

    Boys soccer

    In a nonleague game, Ryan Murtagh recorded a goal and an assist to lead Hingham (12-2-3) to a 3-2 win over BC High. … Daniel Silva scored twice and Connor Sullivan added a pair of assists to boost Beverly past Chelmsford, 4-0.

    Girls soccer

    In Nonleague action, Ella Ferguson scored a pair of goals as Auburn doubled North Reading, 4-2.

    In the Cape & Islands League, Leah Thomson finished with a hat trick as Martha’s Vineyard (13-4-1) defeated Nantucket, 5-0. The Vineyarders secured their 10th shutout of the season and with that win secured their first league championship in school history.

    Field hockey

    In nonleague action, Breanna Aveiro finished with two points (one goal, one assist), Megan Huntington added two assists and Mikayla Whitehead recorded nine saves to lead Attleboro to a 2-1 victory over Bishop Feehan. … Aliya Baskin scored twice and added an assist as Durfee edged out Middleboro, 5-4.

    Volleyball

    In the Commonwealth Athletic Conference, Jaydalise Davila recorded 26 service points while Asmeily Anziani finished with 15 assists and 17 digs as Greater Lawrence (15-5) defeated  Montachusett, 3-0.
