    CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College volleyball team (12-4, 1-3 ACC) welcomes #6 Stanford (12-3, 3-1 ACC) Friday and Cal (5-9, 2-2 ACC) Sunday to open ACC play at home. Both matches will be streamed on ACCNX.
     
    Friday is Youth Night, Sunday will be our Dig Pink match.
     
    A LOOK AT THE OPPOSITION
    #6 Stanford – Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:00 p.m.

    • 12-3, 3-1 ACC record
    • The Cardinals hold a 4-1 record on the road.
    • Elia Rubin leads the Cardinals posting 167 kills. Lizzy Andrew and Erika Sayer trail with 134.
    • Logan Parks guides the offensive effort, recording 434 assists averaging 9.23 assists per set.
    • Spencer Etzler holds down the back row recording 189 digs.
    • Erika Sayer leads the Cardinals with 54 blocks. Lizzy Andrew trails with 46 blocks.

     
    Cal – Sunday, Oct. 12 at 1:00 p.m.

    • 5-9, 2-2 ACC record 
    • Peyton DeJardin leads the Golden Bears with 127 kills. Mikayla Hayden is close behind with 124.
    • Maria Stirbu leads the offensive effort posting 243 assists. Natalie Lau is close behind with 231.
    • Sophia Johnson leads the back row tallying 183 digs, averaging 3.45 per set.
    • Mikayla Hayden leads the Golden Bears posting 61 blocks.

     
    SERIES HISTORY
    #6 Stanford
    This match marks the third time the Cardinals and Eagles meet. Stanford holds a 2-0 record over Boston College. The first time these teams met was in September of 2005; the most recent meeting was in October of 2024 where the Cardinals recorded a 3-0 victory.
     
    Cal
    This match marks the second time the Golden Bears and Eagles meet. The sole time these teams met was October of 2024, the Eagles recorded a 3-2 victory over Cal. BC holds a 1-0 record over the Golden Bears.
     
    IN THE ACC

    • Cornelia Roach sits in 10th place in the ACC in hitting percentage boasting an impressive .364%.
    • Junior Audrey Ross also sits in 10th place across the conference in kills, posting 3.53 kills per set.
    • The Eagles sit in second place in the ACC in blocks allowed, only letting up 1.76 per set.
    • – BC sits in third place in the ACC in digs allowed, posting an 11.93 per set average.
    • Boston College sits in fifth place in the ACC in opponent hitting percentage with .177%.
    • The Eagles sit in sixth place in the conference in kills allowed, letting up 11.5 on average per set. 
    • BC sits in second place in the conference in assists allowed, letting up only 10.31 per set.
    • Freshman Bella Ehrlich boasts an impressive 1.24 average blocks earning her an eighth place active individual rank.
