Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Katie Watts joins the Boston College softball staff following three seasons as an assistant coach at Amherst College, announced Wednesday afternoon by head coach Beth Krysiak.
“Katie Watts is a New Englander through and through, bringing her to Boston College is a win for us. She has recruited nationally, and brings organization and energy to everything that she does. Her detailed approach to infield and ability to connect with her players are going to be a great addition to our team.”
Watts brings a strong playing and academic background to the Heights. She earned her Master of Science in Sports Leadership from Endicott College in 2024 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2023. A three-time CSC Academic All-District selection and four-time Commonwealth Coast Conference Academic All-Conference honoree, Watts also earned First Team All-CCC honors in 2024 and was named to the 2022 NFCA All-Region II Second Team.
Watts comes from an athletic family, as her mother, Jody Watts, played basketball at the University of Vermont, while her cousin, Megan Marocco, played soccer at Clark University.
