CANTON, Mass. — The Boston College Women’s Golf team heads to Canton, Mass., to host the Red Bandanna Invitational for the eighth time. Last season, the Eagles won the invitational, narrowly defeating Dartmouth to secure their fourth straight Red Bandanna Championship.
The invitational is played in honor of Welles Crowther ’99, “The Man in the Red Bandanna,” who tragically passed away in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Wearing his red bandanna since he was a little kid, Crowther courageously saved over a dozen lives in the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Crowther grew up in Nyack, N.Y., and worked as an equities trader and a volunteer firefighter.
In 2025, Ana Lucia Trevino, playing as an individual, was the highest-placing Eagle, as she shot 4-over par over the course of the three-round event. Joyce Zhang placed second for the Maroon & Gold as both she and Trevino shot a 69 in the second round. Trevino played tied for second while Zhang finished tied for fourth.
The course measures 6,137 yards and will be played at par 72. The first day will kick off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
