Seven Missouri football players rising during fall camp

Missouri fall camp risers: McClellan, Wilson, Darris Smith, Hopkins, Dowell, Lange & Hafer ready for bigger roles.

The Missouri football uniforms will have a new look in 2026.

Mizzou athletics announced in a news release Friday that it has secured a jersey patch sponsorship deal for its football and Olympic sports teams, with the Ambetter Health logo to appear on uniforms in 2026-27 seasons.

Ambetter Health is a health insurance company owned by Centene, which is headquartered in Clayton, Missouri.

According to a photo from the Mizzou website, the patch will appear between the neckline and the shoulder on the right side of Mizzou’s uniforms. It appears to be in white script for at least the Tigers‘ black jerseys.

The NCAA permitted schools to begin securing jersey patch sponsors in the 2026-27 athletics season.

The deal with Ambetter seemingly makes Mizzou the third school in the Southeastern Conference to announce a jersey patch deal, following Arkansas (Tyson Foods) and LSU (Woodside Energy). More likely will follow in the lead-up to the new season.

The financial details of the patch deal, arranged through Learfield, which is Missouri’s multimedia rights holder and not directly part of the athletic department, were not immediately available.

Mizzou’s men’s and women’s basketball teams were not included as part of the patch deal. They are likely working on separate negotiations for patch deals.

Jersey patch deals for Ohio State and Notre Dame this coming season reportedly are worth $18 million and $17 million, although that is almost certainly on the extremely high end of the spectrum for potential sponsorship value. Mizzou’s deal with Ambetter Health.

In Friday’s news release, Missouri athletic director Laird Veatch also announced that it has sold the naming rights to the new North End Zone premium club to EquipmentShare and that the South End Zone premium club will be sponsored by Multipli Credit Union.

The athletic department has announced that it has “more than doubled sponsorship revenue” in the past three years with “over 130% growth.”

“We have asked the major corporate brands in our great state to seize this opportunity to partner with us to continue elevating our university brand and state economy – and many of those brands are responding in record fashion,” Veatch said in the news release. “We are incredibly grateful to these partners, and to our Learfield colleagues at Mizzou Sports Properties, and proud of the momentum we’re building together.”

Missouri is also attempting to sell the naming rights to Memorial Stadium, though a deal is not expected to be finalized before the 2026 season.
