CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women’s soccer is set to take on St. John’s Monday afternoon in non-conference action at the Newton Soccer Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and the game will stream live on ACCNX.

SEASON-OPENING WIN

• Boston College opened the 2026 season with a 7-1 victory over Siena on Wednesday afternoon at the Newton Soccer Complex

• The Eagles scored four goals in the first half and added three more in the second half to secure the victory

• Seven different Eagles found the back of the net, including four players who recorded their first career goals

• Nicolette Kiorpes, Tess Barrett, Anndi Wright and Addison Kalaw each scored their first career goals in the season-opening victory

Sophie Reale, Ashley Roberts and Emily Mara also found the back of the net for the Eagles

• Reale added an assist, while Amalia Dray recorded two assists in the victory

• Boston College outshot Siena, 26-10, including a 14-3 advantage in the second half

• Goalkeeper Faith Fenwick made three saves in her first start of the season



THE RETURNERS


• Boston College returns 13 players who appeared in 14 or more games during the 2025 campaign, including six who played in all 18 matches

• Last season’s leading goalscorer, Sophie Reale, returns for her second season with the Eagles

• Starting goalkeeper Olivia Shippee returns after recording an .846 save percentage and a 0.80 goals-against average last season

FRESH FACES

• The Eagles have 10 additions to this season’s roster

• BC brought in five transfers and five freshmen

CAPTAINS

• Boston College will be led by three captains in 2026: Olivia Shippee, Amalia Dray and Baylor Goldthwaite

• Dray and Goldthwaite return as captains after serving in the same role during the 2025 season

• Shippee was named a captain for the first time this season



A LOOK AT ST. JOHN’S


• St. John’s opened the 2026 season with a 2-1 loss to UMass, with Nora Basile scoring the Red Storm’s lone goal

• The Johnnies return 24 players from last season’s squad, including eight regular starters

• Two-time team captain Kayla Bower returns for her fifth season in goal after starting all 17 matches last season and recording a 1.48 goals-against average and a BIG EAST-best 94 saves

• St. John’s returns three of its top-five point producers from a season ago

• The Red Storm welcome back forward Nora Basile and defender Julianna Bivona after both missed the 2025 season due to injury

• Basile started 16 of 17 matches as a freshman, recording two goals and two assists for six points

• Bivona transferred to St. John’s following her freshman season at South Florida, where she appeared in 13 matches and helped the Bulls record eight clean sheets

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THE RED STORM

• Boston College holds a 2-2-1 all-time record against St. John’s

• The two sides met last season, playing to a 0-0 draw

• The Eagles and Red Storm first met in 2003, with St. John’s earning a 1-0 victory
