CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Former Eagles tight end Jeremiah Franklin signed a rookie free agent contract with the New England Patriots, the team announced Friday.
Franklin started all 12 games at tight end for the Eagles in 2025, recording 49 catches for 506 yards and two touchdowns en route to All-ACC Third-Team honors. His 49 catches were the fifth-most receptions in a single season by a Boston College tight end in school history.
In 2024, he played in 13 games with eight starts, totaling 27 receptions for 311 yards and three touchdowns. Franklin’s 27 receptions was third-best on the team that year.
The Walkersville, Md. native played in 47 career games on The Heights with 30 starts during his four-year career.
Franklin is the seventh Eagle to enter the NFL in 2026 after four players were drafted and two others signed rookie free agent contracts immediately following the NFL Draft.
