Former Eagle Muzzy Donohue Flourishes in PGA Tour Debut

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Former Boston College men’s golfer Muzzy Donohue ’23 made his PGA Tour debut this past weekend at the 3M Open, recording a top-35 finish.

 

After shooting a 73 in the opening round, Donohue logged a second-round score of 63, eight-under par, to make the cut and battle amongst the best golfers in the world. He went on to finish the event at 11-under par, sharing a tie for 34th place.

 

Donohue, a native of Mendota Heights, Minn., played four seasons of golf at Boston College, all of them as a starter. In his senior season, he tied for the team lead in stroke average (73.5), posting four top-20 finishes in nine competitions, including an individual victory at the Sacred Heart Invitational.

 

Before joining the Eagles, Donohue played with the varsity golf program at Saint Thomas Academy, becoming the first STA golfer to participate in six consecutive Minnesota state championships.
