CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Four members of the Boston College Baseball team earned ABCA/Rawlings Northeast All-Region honors, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Julio Solier was selected to the first team, becoming the first Eagle to be named First Team All-Region since Sal Frelick and Luke Gold in 2021. Nick Wang, Ty Mainolfi, and Gavin Soares earned second team honors.
Solier had a breakout season for the Eagles, leading the team in batting average (3.54), hits (84), runs (57), and stolen bases (28). The sophomore finished second in program history for hits, stolen bases, and triples (5) in a single season. He had four games with multiple steals, including two where he had three steals, coming against FGCU (March 1) and Maine (April 21).
Wang, a third team All-ACC selection, earned the second team All-Region honor after a career year in which he put up 16 home runs, tied for sixth-most in program history, and 62 RBI, tied for fourth-most in program history. He hit a season-high three home runs in the 26-19 victory over UConn when he also posted eight RBI. Wang now sits third in program history in career home runs with 40, and second in RBI with 162.
Mainolfi, one of just two players to play in all 60 games, hit .323 on the year with 75 hits, 16 doubles, 51 RBI along with 19 stolen bases. He had a season-high four hits in the win over UMass Lowell on April 28th and had three hits in seven different games. Mainolfi posted an 11-game hitting streak during the season, spanning from April 15th to May 2nd.
Soares rounds out the All-Region selections for the Eagles. He made 15 appearances on the mound, posting a 2.96 ERA across 27.1 innings pitched, allowing just nine runs on 25 hits while striking out 35 batters. He had two six-strikeout appearances, including a performance of allowing just one hit with six strikeouts over 3.1 innings to earn the win against Notre Dame on April 26.
Boston College matched a program-best 37 wins on the season, including a program-high 17 ACC wins, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2023.
