His biggest sporting milestone came at the 1978 Asian Games in Bangkok, where he became the first Indian shooter to win an individual Asian Games gold medal in the Trap event. He later secured a team silver and an individual bronze medal at the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi. In recognition of his contribution to Indian shooting, the Government of India honoured him with the prestigious Arjuna Award in 1979.

Raja Randhir Singh Legacy As India’s Former OCA Chief
After retiring from competitive shooting, Randhir Singh transitioned into sports administration and became one of Asia’s most influential sporting figures. He served as Secretary-General of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for 25 years and later became a member of the IOC.
