The chief executive officers of technology and biotech companies in Massachusetts are making millions of dollars.

The top-paid is Niraj Shah, the boss of Wayfair, who has been paid $200 million in total compensation, according to reporting from the Boston Business Journal. On top of that, that company’s median worker salary is $49,254 a year, meaning the CEO has been paid the median salary of around 5,702 workers.

It brings to mind a question: Who are the other most well-paid CEOs in the tech world of Massachusetts? According to a rankings list by Boston Business Journal, there are 17 other executives with similar pay.

“To compile the ranking, the total pay figures — which include stock awards, stock options, bonuses and other forms of compensation in addition to salary, some of which are not actually paid out that calendar year — were taken from proxy statements filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission this spring. Figures for 2025 are the most recent available,” Boston Business Journal said.

Here are the top 10 most well-paid tech chief executives in the Commonwealth.
