CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women’s basketball is excited to announce the signing of incoming Pitt transfer, Megan Hollingsworth.

A 6-0 guard from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Hollingsworth is the second international signee for the Eagles.

“We are excited to welcome Megan to Boston College,” said head coach Kate Popovec-Goss. “Megan has proven that she has the size and athleticism to compete in the ACC. Her offensive versatility will be a great fit in our system, and her ability to guard and rebound will immediately help us. More than anything,  Megan wants to build a winning culture and is excited to establish our program in the ACC. Welcome to the Heights, Megan!”

She spent one season at Pitt, appearing in 31 games with 13 starts. The guard averaged 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Hollingsworth scored in double figures in a pair of ACC contests, highlighted by a career-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting with a personal-best seven rebounds against SMU. She poured in 12 points against California, hitting four of her six shots.

The newcomer scored in 27 games, including the final 11 games of the season, with three of her highest-scoring outings during the stretch.

Hollingsworth was a high school standout at Capital Courts Academy, earning OSBA and WNPH MVP honors while helping her team capture the OSBA and Provincial championships. She played for the Kia

Nurse Elite on the Nike EYBL Circuit.

She is the daughter of Michael and Giselle Hollingsworth, has two siblings, Marcus and Mia, and enjoys painting and drawing. She runs her own YouTube channel as well.
