The PGA Tour heads to Charlotte, North Carolina, this week for the 2026 Truist Championship at Quail Hollow. It’s the second straight signature event, and precedes next week’s PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania. Below, we search for the best value prop bets for the Truist Championship and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions before the first round begins Thursday morning.

Though it’s a signature event, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is taking a week off before the PGA Championship. Masters champ Rory McIlroy (+600) enters as the favorite in his first start since his win in Augusta, while last week’s champion in Miami, Cameron Young (+850), is looking to make it back-to-back victories.

Quail Hollow is a demanding course, coming in at 7,583 yards long as a par 71. The course was renovated last year before the PGA Championship, causing the Truist Championship to be moved to Philadelphia Cricket Club, where Sepp Straka won. The last time this event was played at Quail Hollow, McIlroy won in 2024.

    Truist Championship – Top-5 picks

Odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday at 7:32 p.m. ET.

    Xander Schauffele (+220)

Schauffele had a couple of close calls in 2023 and 2024 when he was the runner-up each year, and his game has been trending toward a victory as of late. This could be the week he gets back in the winner’s circle at a course he tends to excel at.

    Matt Fitzpatrick (+300)

Fitzpatrick has wins in 3 of his last 4 starts, playing some of the best golf of his career. His ball-striking has been excellent and his putter is hot, too, which gives no reason to think he won’t keep things up this week. Fitzpatrick finished eighth at the PGA Championship last year when it was played at Quail Hollow.

    Ludvig Aberg (+300)

Quail Hollow should be a great fit for Aberg, despite the fact that he missed the cut at last year’s PGA Championship here. He hits it long and straight off the tee, which has helped him at courses like Torrey Pines and Augusta National, so he should have success at Quail Hollow, too.

    Truist Championship: Best outright winners

    Truist Championship – Top-10 picks

    Ben Griffin (+275)

Griffin is heating up with the temperatures, coming in with 2 straight top-10 finishes, including a third-place showing at Doral last week. He’s gained distance off the tee, which helps at a course like this, and he has played well here before after finishing eighth last year.

    Gary Woodland (+400)

Woodland already has one victory this season and he could be a contender again this week. He finished fifth in 2021 and tied for 14th in 2023, showing his distance makes him a good fit for Quail Hollow.

    Truist Championship – Top-20 picks

    Sam Burns (+110)

Burns is one of the best putters on tour, but his ball-striking has yet to catch up this season. Among players in this field, he ranks 10th in total strokes gained over the last month. He’s finished in the top 21 in 4 of his last 5 starts, while also coming in the top 20 in each of his last 2 appearances at Quail Hollow.

    Denny McCarthy (+275)

McCarthy has been fantastic at Quail Hollow in recent years, finishing T-8, T-6 and T-8 in his last 3 starts here. His play hasn’t been very good this season, but he’s undeniably a course horse in Charlotte.

    Truist Championship – Matchups

Suggested play is golfer in bold.

Ludvig Aberg (-125) vs. Si Woo Kim (+100)

As well as Kim is striking the ball right now, his putter hasn’t cooperated. He’s 58th in SG: putting among players in this field in the last 3 months, which goes to show how poorly he’s performed on the greens.

Sam Burns (-105) vs. Patrick Cantlay (-118)

Cantlay hasn’t finished better than T-21 in his last 5 starts at this course, missing the cut in 2 of his last 4 appearances. Burns, meanwhile, has notched top-20s in his last 2 starts here.

    Truist Championship – Top American

    Xander Schauffele (+550)

This market takes Aberg, Fitzpatrick and McIlroy out of the picture, though Young is still a strong contender coming off his win in Miami. Schauffele was the runner-up in 2023 and 2024, so he’s had near-victories here before.

    Truist Championship – First-round leader

    Xander Schauffele (+1800)

In the last 2 playings of the Truist at Quail Hollow, Schauffele was the first-round leader (2024) and was tied for second in 2023. He could get off to a great start after being well-rested from the time off last week.
