“Academic excellence remains a hallmark of Boston College, and I am incredibly proud of our student-athletes and teams for their ongoing commitment to success in the classroom” said Michael Harris Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services. “This year, 13 of our teams earned perfect multi-year APR scores, and 15 teams posted perfect single-year APR scores.  Men’s basketball recorded its highest multi-year APR score in program history, while football continued its upward trend with a single-year score of 997.  These results reflect the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, and underscore that academic achievement, retention, graduation, and student formation remain central to the Boston College mission.”

Football’s score of 990 was tied for fourth-highest in the ACC and ranked above the ACC average of 983 and NCAA FBS average of 970.

Scholarship student-athletes can earn 1 point for staying on course for a degree in their chosen major and 1 point for being retained (or graduating) at the end of each academic term. For schools that do not offer athletics scholarships, recruited student-athletes are tracked.

A full list of APRs for each team can be accessed by using the APR searchable database.
