A $50K World Cup job is open now — but you’ll watch all 104 matches from a glass box in Times Square while creating content.

NEW YORK — Someone is going to get paid to watch the World Cup.

Yes, this is real. No, it is not a scam.

FOX Sports, which holds the U.S. broadcasting rights for the 2026 World Cup, announced Friday a job titled “FOX One Chief World Cup Watcher” will be paid $50,000 to watch all 104 matches across the 39-day tournament.

One caveat: they’ll be watched, too.

The person selected will essentially be a World Cup-esque zoo animal, posted up in a glass box in New York City’s Times Square for everyone to see. The World Cup watcher, hired through a partnership with Indeed, will be tasked with creating and sharing social content throughout the tournament.

To be considered for the role, you’ll need an Indeed profile and share a video with #ChiefWorldCupWatcher.

The $50,000 position begins June 6 and ends July 26.
