KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Soccer fans hoping to catch the world’s biggest tournament in Kansas City will have one last shot at getting tickets.

FIFA World Cup 2026 organizers announced the tournament’s final ticket sales phase – known as the “Last-Minute Sales Phase” – will begin Wednesday, April 1, at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis through FIFA’s official website.

The final phase will remain open through the end of the tournament this summer, giving fans ongoing opportunities to secure seats. FIFA said, in some cases, there could be same-day tickets depending on availability.

During this last sales window, fans will be able to view available matches, choose specific seats through an interactive map or select a “book the best seat” option. People who bought tickets in earlier phases can also log in starting April 1 to view their assigned seats.

FIFA said demand for tickets has already been unprecedented. More than 500 million ticket requests were submitted during the most recent selection phase alone, resulting in more than one million tickets sold by late February.

Overall attendance for the tournament is on pace to surpass the record of 3.5 million fans – set during the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States.

Fans who can no longer attend matches will also have an option to resell their tickets through FIFA’s official resale marketplace, which is set to reopen on April 2.

Organizers emphasized that the official ticket platform is the only authorized source for buying and reselling tickets.

The first match in Kansas City is on June 16 at Arrowhead Stadium between Argentina and Algeria.
