    Rains’ Emma Knight homers, has 5 hits in Boston College doubleheader

    BRIGHTON, Mass. (KLTV) – Former Rains Lady Cat Emma Knight hit her team-leading 12th home run of the season as Boston College lost a doubleheader against Duke on Saturday.

    The freshman is hitting .317 with 33 RBI and 25 runs this season.

    Boston College lost the first game 17-4. Knight started at first base and batted second. She went 2-for-2 with a walk and a run. Boston College lost the second game 17-6. Knight went 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs. In the first inning, Knight blasted a solo home run that hit the top of the scoreboard in left field. In the second inning, Knight doubled into right-center field, scoring Carly Bunnell from first base.

    Boston College (12-32, 3-15) has lost three games in a row. The Eagles host Bryant University on Tuesday.
