In what’s become normal for football fans, there will be plenty of games outside of the United States in 2026.
From classic locations like London to ambitious new hosts like Melbourne, the NFL will be played all over the globe later this year.
Which teams will be playing international games next season? Where exactly are all these games going to be played? And when will the full schedule be released? Here’s everything we know so far:
How many NFL international games are there in 2026?
There are nine international games scheduled for 2026, which will be an NFL record.
The previous record was set last season, when seven games were played outside the U.S.
Where are the NFL international games in 2026?
The nine international games will be spread across four continents: six in Europe, one in North America, one in South America and one in Australia.
There will be three games in London, with the UK capital being the only city hosting multiple games (two at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, one at Wembley Stadium). Other European games will include Munich (Germany), Madrid (Spain) and Paris (France). Munich has hosted two prior games at Allianz Arena (2022, 2024), Madrid is hosting for the second straight year at Bernabéu and Paris is making its NFL debut at Stade de France.
Mexico City will rejoin the rotation for its fifth NFL game at Estadio Azteca, but its first since 2022. The NFL will also return to Brazil for the third straight year, but this time in Rio de Janeiro at Maracanã Stadium after two previous trips to São Paulo. Lastly, Melbourne (Australia) will host its first NFL game at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

When is the NFL schedule release date?
The full NFL schedule is typically released in mid-May, after free agency and the draft. That gives the league time to create marquee matchups involving players on new teams and the top rookies.
The international game hosts were rolled out sporadically, so the remaining opponents could come at any time in the next few weeks. Most recently, the NFL announced the Falcons as the designated team for Madrid on March 3.
