CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College baseball returns to action tomorrow, on March 10th, when it travels to UConn for a midweek contest. First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 and will be streamed live on UConn+.

    Record vs UConn

The Huskies hold a 66-46 series advantage over Boston College, but the Eagles have won three of the last five meetings. BC dropped the last meeting, 21-9 at home in April 2025. Boston College was led that day by Josiah Ragsdale and Kyle Wolff, who each had two hits.

    Scouting the Huskies

UConn enters the midweek match-up at 7-8, having their series finale at Old Dominion on Sunday, 6-5, after winning the first two games of the series. Chris Polemeni and Jackson Marshall lead the Huskies offensively, hitting .375 and .344, respectively. Polemeni has four RBIs and a home run, while Marshall has five home runs and 11 RBIs so far.

The contest will have Drew Grumbles pitching against Tristan Aasland. In his last appearance against FIU, Grumbles went five innings of scoreless work while striking out four. So far this season, Grumbles has made two starts, posting a 0.00 ERA and 6 strikeouts. Aasland had a similar appearance in his last outing as he went five innings while striking out five. Aasland has a 5.40 ERA this season in two starts with eight strikeouts.

    Last Time Out

The Eagles took two of three from then-24th-ranked Miami. On Friday night, they won 8-7 in extra innings before taking the Sunday finale, 9-5. The Eagles received help across the board, and in particular, the bullpen. The bullpen combined to throw 18 innings with 19 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.00. Kyle Kipp and Sean Hard stood out as they both closed out the wins on Friday and Sunday with scoreless appearances and combined to allow two hits and five strikeouts. Nick Wang led the offense with seven RBIs and two timely home runs that kept the Eagles in both the Friday and Sunday contests.
