(WGGB/WSHM) – A seventh child has died from the flu in Massachusetts during the first week of February.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health also said seven adults also died that same week. The state’s total number of flu deaths this season is now at 260.
The influenza dashboard shows moderate flu activity right now after peaking in December.
To keep the downward trend, health officials urge people to follow good hand-washing practices, socials distancing and to wear masks in crowded places. They also urge everyone over six months of age to get vaccinated.
