    CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women’s basketball welcomes NC State for a 6 p.m. Thursday matchup in Conte Forum on ACC Network.

    About the Eagles

    BC suffered an 85-56 loss to Louisvlle on Sunday. Amirah Anderson poured in a team-high 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field and added five rebounds. Jocelyne Grier rounded out the leading scorers with 13 points, and Kiera Edmonds came off the bench to grab a team-high seven boards. It was an ACC high for Anderson and the most she’s scored on the road this season. It was the first time Grier has scored in double figures in back-to-back ACC contests. 

    A Win Would

    – Give BC a 5-18 record. 

    – Snap a 14-game losing streak. 

    – Give the Eagles their first ACC victory.

    – Defeat NC State in Conte Forum for the first time since 2015. 

    By the Numbers

    3rd – Jocelyne Grier is tied for third among freshmen with 86 points during conference play. 

    16 – The 16 points by Amirah Anderson is the most in a road game for the freshman.

    42.1 – Erin Houpt is fifth among the nation’s active career leaders in 3-point field goal percentage, shooting 42.1 percent for her career. 

    65.4 – Lily Carmody has scored 65.4 percent of her points in the second half. 

    187 – Grier’s 187 points off the bench is first among freshmen and fifth overall in the ACC.

    A Win Would

    –  Amirah Anderson is averaging 11.5 points over the previous four game on 46.9 percent shooting from the field, 43.8 percent from deep and 90 percent from the line. See if the freshman can continue her solid play.

    – Watch if BC can take care of the ball, as NC State averages 16.1 points off turnovers in its wins (10.8 in losses).

    – Jocelyne Grier is averaging 14 points over the last two games, scoring 10-plus in back-to-back games for the first time in ACC play. She is also leading the team in scoring in January, recording 11 points in seven games. Watch if she can continue to improve.

    – See if the Eagles can keep NC State off the line, as the Wolfpack are averaging 28 free throw attempts over the last two games.

    – Watch if BC can contain the Wolfpack’s 3-point attack. NC State is averaging nine 3-pointers over the past two games, including a pair of games with 12 3-pointers made. 

    Scouting NC State (14-6, 7-2 ACC)

    – The Wolfpack are coming off a 78-76 overtime win against Virginia on Sunday.

    – Zoe Brooks registered 37 points on just 15 field goal attempts. She went 19-of-20 at the line and added five rebounds with five assists.

    – Khamil Pierre carded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

    – Four players are averaging in double figures, with Pierre leading the offense at 16.3 points per game. She also is grabbing 11.7 rebounds per game.

    – Brooks is averaging 16.3 points and a team-best 4.63 assists.

    – NC State leads the ACC, pulling down 45.2 rebounds per game.

    – The Wolfpack also commit the fewest turnovers per game in the ACC at 12.2.

    Series History

    – Boston College is 9-23 against the Wolfpack, with NC State claiming the last two matchups. The Eagles’ last win against NCSU came in 2023 in Raleigh. 

    What’s Next

    The Eagles hit the road for a 2 p.m. matchup against Georgia Tech on Sunday in Atlanta.
