FAYETTEVILLE — Boston College redshirt sophomore Ty Lockwood signed with Arkansas football Friday after visiting the Razorbacks.

Lockwood, 6-4 and 245 pounds, played in all 12 games and recorded 2 catches for 30 yards in 2025.

On3 rates him the No. 57 tight end on the portal. He visited Arkansas from Wednesday through Thursday.

Lockwood transferred to Boston College after spending two seasons at Alabama, where he appeared in five games and had 1 reception for 5 yards in 2024. He saw action in two games in 2023 while redshirting.

He was a consensus 4-star recruit in the 2023 class while senior at Independence High School in Thompson’s Station, Tenn. He was rated the nation’s No. 7 tight end in the nation by On3.

Lockwood chose the Crimson Tide over scholarship offers from Ohio State, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas A&M, Tennessee and others.
