We’ve reached the holiday break in the USHL so it’s time to look back on some notable performances from the first stage of the season. First up, Lincoln Stars forward Alex Pelletier. The native of Granby, Connecticut has 25 goals and 14 assists (39 points) through 24 games played this season, resulting in an impressive 1.63 points per game mark. On December 9th, Pelletier surpassed his point total from the 2024-25 season (37), with a 3 point performance as the Stars bested the Sioux Falls Stampede 5-3 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

On November 3rd, Pelletier announced his commitment to Boston College. The Eagles, currently sitting in second place in Hockey East, will certainly be excited to get his level of production added to their lineup next season. Pelletier will be accompanied to Hockey East by teammate John Hirschfeld, currently committed to the University of Vermont.

Pelletier has had a high degree of success on the man advantage, cashing in 8 goals so far on the power play. He trails only Logan Renkowski (SF) and Ryan Rucinski (YNG) in that metric. Lincoln defensemen Nikolas Young has joined in on the action, dishing 8 assists on the power play through 27 games. Pelletier and Young have proven difficult to stop with extra space in the offensive zone.

If he can keep this pace for the rest of the season, Pelletier is projected to put up 96 points. His ability to score will make a huge difference for Lincoln, currently sitting in 3rd place in the Western Conference. Pelletier and the Stars will resume play after the holiday break with a trip to Liberty First Credit Union Arena and a matchup with the rival Omaha Lancers on December 27th.

What do you think? Can Alex Pelletier push the pace and break 100 points in the regular season?
