SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Boston College Football defeated Syracuse, 34-12, on Saturday afternoon at the JMA Wireless Dome in the regular season finale.

Grayson James finished 16-of-24 for 288 yards, averaging 18 yards per completion. Lewis Bond caught eight passes for a career high 171 yards. Jeremiah Franklin hauled in three catches for 46 yards, while Reed Harris caught two for 27 yards. Turbo Richard carried the ball 15 times for 102 yards and two rushing touchdowns, making it the third time this season he finished with two rushing touchdowns. Jordan McDonald added five carries for 28 yards and two scores. It was the first time in a game since 2023 the Eagles scored four times on the ground.

Bond finishes the season with a program record 88 receptions, while his 993 yards are the fifth most in a single season in BC history.

On the defensive side of the ball, KP Price led the Eagles with 10 tackles. E’Lla Boykin had six tackles to go with two tackles for loss. Omar Thornton was third with four tackles and his second-career sack.

Luca Lombardo knocked in two field goals.

Lombardo got the scoring started with a 30-yard field goal with four minutes to go in the first quarter, following a three-and-out by the Eagles’ defense.

The Orange responded with their own field goal a minute into the second quarter from 49 yards out.

The two teams traded possessions before Syracuse doubled their lead with a second field goal from 29 yards out with just over three minutes left in the first half.

Lombardo knocked in his second field goal of the half with 28 seconds to go in the first half to tie it back up at six.

BC struck first in the second half when the Eagles went 79 yards in three plays before Richard carried it in from 16 yards out to give BC a 13-6 lead. The drive was highlighted by a career-long 54-yard catch and run by Bond.

The Eagles extended their lead when McDonald found the back of the endzone for the third time this season from two yards out after a drive of just over four minutes.

BC pushed their lead to 21 when Richard carried the ball 46 yards to cap off a 71-yard drive that took the Eagles only 35 seconds.

McDonald gave BC the biggest lead of the game four minutes later when he scored from 14 yards out to pick up his second touchdown of the afternoon.

The Orange cut into the Eagles’ lead with three minutes to go when they scored from a yard out to make it 34-12, which was how the game ended.
