Trump cancels Kamala Harris’ Secret Service protection

President Trump cancels Kamala Harris’ Secret Service detail before her 15-city book tour begins.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is on a book tour this fall to speak about her new memoir, “107 Days.”

And one of those tour stops will be in Medford on Nov. 15, according to publisher Simon & Schuster.

The book – a personal account of Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign – will be released on Sept. 23, and the former vice president herself will soon jump from city to city to promote it.

“Just over a year ago, I launched my campaign for President of the United States,” Harris said in a video announcement. “Since leaving office, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on those days, and with candor and reflection, I’ve written a behind-the-scenes account of that journey.”

Where and when will Kamala Harris be in Massachusetts?

Harris will speak at the Chevalier Theatre, at 30 Forest St. in Medford, on Saturday, Nov. 15, according to Simon & Schuster. The show will begin at 2 p.m.

    Tickets can be bought online.

    What’s Kamala Harris’ book about?

The title of Harris’ memoir, “107 Days,” reflects the length of her bid for president in 2024 after then-President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

Since leaving office in January, Harris said she took some time to reflect on her ultimately unsuccessful run for president. She stitched together some of her thoughts in a journal, which served as the basis for her nonfiction book.

In an August social media post, Harris noted that the book is not a recap of her campaign, but rather a “candid and personal account” of her bid for the White House.

“Writing ‘107 Days’ felt like living the campaign in reverse — rewinding each moment and experiencing it all over again,” Harris said in the post. “Behind every speech I gave, hand I shook, and story I told on the road, there were deeper layers, quiet reflections, and lessons learned.”

How to buy Kamala Harris’ new book

“107 Days” will be on shelves Sept. 23, but readers can pre-order the book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Spotify, and several other online platforms and retailers.
