Natick High’s Bianchi tops divisionals

Natick High School’s John Bianchi finished first at the MIAA Division 1B championships in Wrentham on Saturday, Nov. 8 with a time of 15:51.60 over the 5K course. Teammates Declan Hava (3rd), Callum Doyle (7th), and Freddie Van der Velden (9th) all raced to top 10 finishes.

The Redhawks as a team finished second to Concord-Carlisle.

The girls team placed 8th, with Samantha McMorrow finishing as Natick’s top runner.

All States take place on Nov. 15th in Devens, Mass.

Applications available for non-profits to score Boston Marathon bibs

As a community along the Boston Marathon course, Natick gets a handful of invitational bibs that get doled out to non-profits as fundraisers and to municipal departments

Interested area non-profits and municipal departments must submit an application no later than 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 28.

The entries will be provided to Marathon runners who commit to raising a minimum of $4,500 for the selected organizations.

Frosty 5K registration open

You’ve got plenty of time to tune up for the annual Frosty 5K on Dec. 7, 9am, at Natick High School. Volunteers and sponsors are also sought for this event, which is organized by the Natick High cross country and track & field teams, and supports them.
