HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The St. Patrick’s Committee of Holyoke kicked off the holiday season early with its ‘Holiday Sip & Shop’ event held at the Elks Lodge.
The event, which took place this evening, drew dozens of attendees who came to browse local vendors, enjoy festive treats, and get a head start on their holiday shopping.
The evening also featured a holiday raffle, with proceeds supporting the committee’s efforts to keep the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade marching on.
“It takes a village. There are a lot of people that help with the committee. We work every Sunday before the parade meeting starts, and it’s just a group effort,” said Craig Haslam, co-chair of the ‘Sip and Shop’ event.
The ‘Holiday Sip & Shop’ offered a preview of the excitement to come with the 73rd Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade, scheduled for March 22nd next year. The event serves as a fundraiser to ensure the parade continues to be a staple in the community.
