BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College rowing team wrapped up the final day of competition at the 60th annual Head of the Charles Regatta Sunday, Oct. 19.

In the Women’s Championship Fours event, Boston College’s Champ 4+ boat earned a 14th place finish.

“Not quite the race we were hoping for and that piece isn’t representative of what that crew has put together in training, but sometimes that can be racing,” said Head Coach Grace Hollowell. “This group has done a lot very well in the past 8 weeks, and we are looking forward to showing that speed in the last few races this fall!”

Coxed by Caroline Jennings, stroked by Lucy Barratt, Lauren Bauer, Molly Devine and Sofia Martin, BC’s Champ 4+ recorded a course time of 18:22.695, finishing 14 out of 22 crews.

The crew finished seven seconds ahead of Colgate, 49 seconds ahead of BU, over a minute ahead of Rhode Island and nearly a minute 20 ahead of Iona. The Eagles finished 10 seconds behind University of Wisconsin and 13 seconds behind Kansas.
