    The Rangers’ season-opening 3-0 clunker of a loss at home on Tuesday didn’t exactly inspire belief for the rest of the 2025-26 season.

    But there were several interesting points to take away from the game. Let’s dig in:

    1️⃣ Mika Zibanejad had a strong opener.

    No sight was more promising than that of Zibanejad flying up and down the ice Tuesday night, posting a team-high seven shots on goal, two hits and one block. He was a factor on every shift and managed to threaten most times when the puck was on his stick.
