Join two of the Star-Telegram’s sports writers, Steven Johnson and Mac Engel, live on Thursday as they share insights and answer your questions ahead of the TCU-SMU football game.

The “Ask Me Anything” livestream starts at 6 p.m. here on star-telegram.com. You’ll be able to send us your questions through a live chat during the broadcast.

Johnson covers the TCU Horned Frogs, and Engel is a longtime Star-Telegram columnist.

As TCU begins the toughest part of its schedule, the Horned Frogs will aim for a signature win that could propel them into the top 25 and cement their status as Big 12 contenders. TCU’s offense looks elite, but this will be the first true test for its veteran defense.

TCU linebacker Namdi Obiazor (4) and defensive tackle Ansel Din-Mbuh (92) celebrates after getting a sack on Abilene Christian quarterback Stone Earle (4) in the first half of an NCAA game between TCU and Abilene Christian at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025.

Will Kevorian Barnes play? Will TCU correct its defensive issues that popped up in the second half against Abilene Christian? Is Josh Hoover the best quarterback in Texas?

We’ll see you Thursday on the eve of the final Battle for the Iron Skillet!
