WASHINGTON (AP) — The Associated Press says Democrat Maura Healey has won reelection as governor of Massachusetts. Democrat Edward Markey also wins reelection to U.S. Senate from Massachusetts

Massachusetts voters decide Tuesday whether to reelect a full slate of Democratic incumbents for statewide office, including U.S. senator and governor. Also on the ballot are races for U.S. House, state Legislature and other state and local offices.
The Secretary of the Commonwealth’s Office said all polling places will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Some cities and towns may open their polls earlier.
Voters will elect a governor and lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of the commonwealth, state treasurer and state auditor.

Incumbent Democratic Gov. Maura Healey faces a challenge from Republican nominee Mike Minogue. Independent Andrea James is also in the race.
Democratic Sen. Ed Markey is seeking a third term. He faces three challengers, including Republican John Deaton of Swansea who ran two years ago against Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Incumbent Democratic Reps. Jake Auchincloss (4th District), Stephen Lynch (8th District) and Bill Keating (9th District) are all seeking reelection in districts that include parts of Bristol County.
District attorney races are on the ballot in Bristol and Norfolk counties.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn is not seeking reelection. Democrat Christopher Markey faces Republican Seth Aitken in the race.
Voters will also decide nine statewide ballot measures.

About 2.4 million votes were cast in the 2022 election for Massachusetts governor.
How much of the vote is cast early or by absentee ballot?
About 45% of the vote in the 2022 gubernatorial election was cast early in-person or by mail.
Massachusetts runs elections at the town and city level. There are 351 separate jurisdictions administering local elections, and they vary in terms of how and when they release results. In many of the larger jurisdictions, results from a mix of voting methods are released together throughout the night.
