An epic battle between Attleboro and Central Catholic will be a two-day affair.

After 10 innings, the Div. 1 state semifinal at UMass Dartmouth was called due to darkness with the score 4-4.

Attleboro got off to a 4-0 lead after a two-run first inning, a one-run second inning and a solo home run from Lola Ronayne. Central Catholic started its comeback in the fourth inning when Gabby DelGaizo singled in a run and added another run in the sixth after a throwing error. This set the table for Chloe Salerno, who smashed a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to keep the season going.

Salerno threw all 10 innings for Central Catholic, allowing just four hits and one earned run while striking out 12. Attleboro’s Jen Callahan also went 10 innings, allowing seven hits, three earned runs and striking out 11.

The game will be made up on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Dartmouth.

Longmeadow had multiple contributors in its 13-7 win over Marshfield in a Division 2 state semifinal as Max Zicchitella spearheaded the attack with four goals. Teddy Hinshaw, Chris Rauseo, Brady Stocks and Joe Szczepanek each scored two goals apiece.

Will Hogencamp paced all scorers with a hat trick, while his brother Cole Hogencamp added a pair of goals to go with an assist as fourth-seeded Mansfield (22-1) advanced to the state championship with a 9-1 victory over No. 9 Walpole.

With the match tied 2-2 against Duxbury, Bedford’s top singles player, Aryanna Schauer, earned a decisive victory (6-0, 7-6) to send the Bucs to the Div. 2 state championship.

Sophia Lirio continued her terrific season with a sweep in first singles, 6-0, 6-0, helping to propel No. 1 Notre Dame (Hingham) (18-1) to the state finals with a close 3-2 victory over crosstown rival No. 4 Hingham.
