Patriots captain’s honest reaction to Super Bowl rematch with Seahawks

New England Patriots safety Brenden Schooler has a candid outlook for the team’s Super Bowl rematch against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.

According to Patriots Wire’s Sophie Weller, Schooler views the Seahawks matchup as one to take with the utmost severity.

“I think it’s a great opportunity… I think you always have a chip on your shoulder when you’re going up against someone you previously lost to the year before,” Schooler said.

Schooler approaches his fifth season with the Patriots in 2026. The Texas product was on the Patriots team that lost to the Seahawks in the Super Bowl at the end of last season.

With the defeat still fresh, having happened just over three months ago, Schooler has reason to approach the matchup with adamancy to get in the win column to begin next season and hand Seattle a loss in response to the outcome of their last meeting.
