RALEIGH, N.C. – The Boston College rowing team wrapped up competition at the ACC Championships on Saturday morning at Lake Wheeler.

“Great to see the team putting down solid pieces across the board from the 1V to the 3V,” said head coach Grace Hollowell. “I think they have done a fantastic job this whole year of doing things together and doing things for the team. They have committed to doing hard things as a full team and that showed today during the finals. It’s also great to see three of the five crews beating their seeding and showing what we are capable of as a team. Proud of this group and go Eagles!”

The Eagles’ third varsity eight crew crossed in 6:58.010, placing second behind Notre Dame and ahead of Louisville, Duke and SMU. Boston College also recorded a third-place finish in the first varsity four, clocking 7:31.550 to finish behind Duke and Miami.

Boston College’s first varsity eight placed fifth in 6:41.570, narrowly behind Louisville, while the second varsity eight finished sixth in 6:59.290. The Eagles’ second varsity four also took sixth with a time of 8:01.250.

Senior Lauren Bauer earned All-ACC Third Team honors as Boston College’s lone all-conference selection.

Stanford took first overall for the second year in a row at Championships with 132 points, sweeping the grand finals. Virginia took second with 118 points followed by Cal in third.
